Princeton, New Jersey, USA
Monday 25th November 2013
After an eventful few months in Thailand, punctuated with several visits to other neighbouring countries around South East Asia, it is time to move on to the next challenge.  To that end I have just arrived in Princeton, New Jersey, on the eastern side of the USA, about an hour from New York City.

I intend to stay here for around two months & in that time I plan to sit my NSCA CSCS (strength & conditioning) exam & my NCBTMB (body work & massage) exam, as well as starting the process for my physical therapy accreditation.  In addition, I have arranged some clinical visits to, presentations for & meetings with NBA, NFL & NCAA teams in the New Jersey & New York states.  The aim...like a boy band, I want to break America!  I've done consultancy work over here, spent time at conferences here & visited many different organisations but I really feel that I have a lot to offer a team operating in the big four sports on this side of the Atlantic.

So, here goes, it's time to make this happen!

In the meantime, I recently spoke to one of the two sports physiotherapists I recruited to join me in Buriram, James (Butterfield).  Both James & Dan (Dagia) have now returned to the UK after a successful (Buriram remained unbeaten domestically, winning the league title, FA Cup & League Cup) yet testing time in the Thai Premier League.  I am helping guide them through the process of finding their next gainful employment & I am sure that given their great attitudes to learning, they will be gracing new environments imminently.

Whilst reacquainting themselves with the Great British weather, James has been updating his blog & I was happy to do an interview with him, answering a few questions about my experiences in & opinions on sports physiotherapy.

If you are interested, click on the link below to read the interview & also have a look at some of the other articles that James has written.

Let me know your thoughts & if you have a couple of vacancies for some young, enthusiastic physiotherapists, get in touch & I will put you in touch with James & Dan!
