Back in May, I was approached by a couple of students from Sheffield Hallam University who were working to put a new magazine together.  The magazine was sporting in theme, to be written by students, for students & promote the sport that is played in the university system.  I was asked whether, in my role as a sports physiotherapist, I would be interested in contributing a brief monthly column discussing my opinions on various aspects of sports physiotherapy.

Given that I had a great number of years enjoying success in, what was the BUSA competition & is now the BUCS competition, both as a player with Sheffield/Sheffield Hallam University & as a coach with Edinburgh University (see rather old, hirsute photo!), I thought it would be appropriate for me to get involved.

May saw the launch of StudentSportMagazine & you can read the inaugural edition by clicking the link below.

Meanwhile, June's edition is now available & once again, you can have a flick through by clicking the link below.

So far, the magazine seems to be an interesting read & professional in its appearance, so well done chaps.

I have just written & submitted my column for next month, in addition to an article for their new website, which is due to be unveiled in the coming weeks (www.StudentSportMagazine.co.uk).

So, if you're curious about what is going on in the world of British university sport & are interested on my musings on that forum, make sure you stop by their site & give them your support.
