Perri Shakes-Drayton will also be disappointed on missing out on a place in the 400m hurdles final by 0.01 seconds, whereas Jack Green sounded disappointed at his time but will have plenty more opportunities to make a senior Championships final in the men's 400m hurdles, having narrowly missed out on his senior bow at the age of 19. On the plus side for Team GB, Dai (Green) booked his place in the final of the same event with a commanding performance in his heat, despite clipping the last hurdle as he eased off to save himself for the final.

Furthermore, fellow Font Romeu campsters Helen Clitheroe & Hannah England pulled out the stops to qualify as fastest losers for the 5k & 1,500m finals respectively.  Also in the 5k heats, Oregon Track Club runner & Team USA representative, Lauren Fleshman took on the African running collective & booked her place in the Friday's final.
